A handler basically consists of a base system and an IC-package-specific conversion kit. The handler thermally conditions (from -60°C up to +175°C) and places the device in contact with an automatic test system to verify device function. Based on test results the devices are sorted by the handler to make them available for packaging or other applications. Aside from the standard conversion kits for nearly all SO and QFN packages Rasco specializes in handling extremely small devices (down to 1.5 mm X 1.5mm X 0.4mm thick ) in a very wide temperature range. The smart, modular design of the handler enables easy installation and quick modification per to individual customer requirements.
